Corona treatment is a surface modification technique used to improve the adhesion properties of various materials, such as plastics, fabrics, films and foils. By exposing the surface to an electrical discharge (corona), the surface energy is increased, making it more receptive to resins, coatings, inks, adhesives and paints. This technique is used to enable resins to adequately bond to UHMWPE (ultra-high-molecular-weight polyethylene) (Dyneema\/Spectra) and aramid<\/p>\n
